Description
This makes it a common recommendation for people recovering from surgery, managing arthritis or COPD, or who simply spend a large part of the day in one chair and need more flexibility than a fixed recline offers.
Who This Chair Is Best For
- Post-surgical recovery (hip, knee, or spine) where legs need to be elevated at a comfortable angle for extended periods, not just one fixed height
- Circulation issues, swelling, or edema where a doctor has recommended keeping the legs raised above heart level
- Arthritis, COPD, or general mobility limitations that make standing up from a low or fixed-position chair difficult
- Caregivers setting up a temporary recovery space at home who want one chair that can double as a daytime recliner and a nighttime sleep position
Every rental includes:
- Home delivery, setup, and in-home instruction on chair use
- Pre-rental sanitizing and testing of every unit before it leaves the warehouse
- Free repair if anything malfunctions during the rental period
- Optional Assist-A-Tray accessory for meals, reading, or device use while seated

Frequently Asked Questions
What is an infinite-position seat lift chair?
It’s a power lift recliner that can stop and lock at any angle, not just a few fixed stops, so it supports lifted, seated, reading, napping, relaxing, and sleeping positions.
How much does it cost to rent an infinite-position lift chair?
$200 per week or $400 per month, plus a one-time $100 delivery and pickup fee within the standard service area (delivery fees vary outside that area).
What’s the difference between the 3-Position and Infinite-Position lift chair?
The 3-Position chair stops at three fixed points (lifted, seated, reading/napping). The Infinite-Position chair adds a continuous recline range that also covers relaxing and sleeping positions.
What is the weight limit for the rental chair?
375 lbs. Global Medicals does not currently offer a bariatric seat lift chair rental.
What if something goes wrong with the chair during my rental?
Every chair is checked, tested, and sanitized before it goes out. If an issue comes up during your rental, Global Medicals repairs it at no cost as soon as possible.
Can I switch to a long-term rental or rent-to-purchase arrangement?
Ask about long-term rental options when you book, a rent-to-purchase arrangement is sometimes available depending on the length of the rental.
What areas does Global Medicals deliver seat lift chairs to?
Nassau and Suffolk County, NY (Long Island).
