These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of rentals.globalmedicals.com, and your purchase or rental of any product from Global Medicals, a durable medical equipment retailer and rental provider serving Nassau County and Suffolk County, New York.
Global Medicals is a Nassau County, New York-based provider of durable medical equipment (DME) for sale and rent, serving individuals and caregivers across Nassau County and Suffolk County. We supply and rent mobility and home care equipment including powered and manual wheelchairs, mobility scooters, hospital beds, premium hospital beds, and patient lifters, along with related accessories.
Global Medicals offers both sales and rentals across the following equipment categories:

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to purchase or rent from Global Medicals. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
Depending on the equipment category, we may request a government-issued photo ID and, where applicable, a refundable security deposit before delivering rental equipment. The deposit is returned after the equipment is picked up and inspected, less any deductions described below.
Global Medicals delivers across Nassau County and Suffolk County, New York. Delivery availability, timing, and fees vary by location and product category, and are confirmed at checkout or by our team before scheduling.
You are responsible for ensuring that any equipment purchased or rented is properly fitted, used according to the manufacturer’s instructions, and appropriate for the intended user’s needs and physical condition. Mobility equipment such as wheelchairs, scooters, and patient lifts carries inherent risks of use, and you assume responsibility for safe and proper use, including any training provided at the time of delivery.
We do not currently accept, bill, or process claims with insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, or other third-party payors. All purchases and services must be paid directly by the customer at the time of purchase.
Customers are responsible for verifying whether their insurance provider may reimburse them for any purchase made from us. We do not guarantee reimbursement or assist with insurance claims or coverage determinations.
New equipment may be covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty, the terms of which are provided by the manufacturer and passed through to you at the time of purchase. Rental equipment and any used equipment sold are provided on an “as-is, as-available” basis for the intended purpose, without additional warranties beyond those required by law. Except as expressly stated, Global Medicals disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Global Medicals and its owners, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our products, services, or the Site. Our total liability for any claim relating to a purchase or rental will not exceed the amount you paid for the specific product or rental giving rise to the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Global Medicals from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of purchased or rented equipment, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
All content on the Site, including text, product descriptions, images, and logos, is owned by or licensed to Global Medicals and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or use Site content for commercial purposes without our prior written permission. You agree not to interfere with the Site’s operation, attempt unauthorized access, or use automated tools to scrape content without permission.
Our collection and use of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of our products or services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state or federal courts located in Nassau County, New York, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

Not for most items. Some products may require a prescription or letter of medical necessity if you intend to bill insurance or Medicare, or if the manufacturer restricts the item. Check the individual product page or contact us to confirm requirements before ordering.
A refundable security deposit and valid government-issued ID may be required at the time of rental, depending on the equipment category. Deposit terms are confirmed at checkout or delivery and are refunded upon the equipment's return in its original condition, less any applicable fees.
Cancellations made with sufficient advance notice before the scheduled delivery are not charged a fee. Cancellations made close to the delivery date, or refused deliveries, are subject to a cancellation fee of 10% of the total rental cost. See Section 8 for full details.
We deliver across Nassau County and Suffolk County, New York. Delivery availability and fees vary by product category and location.
Return eligibility depends on the product. For hygiene and safety reasons, certain used or patient-contact items may be final sale once delivered or assembled. Unopened, unused items in original condition are generally eligible for return within the window stated on the product page, subject to a possible restocking fee.
The renter is responsible for equipment while it is in their possession. Normal wear and tear is not charged, but damage beyond normal use, loss, or theft may be deducted from the security deposit or billed separately, as described in Section 6.
